We know how important physical and mental wellbeing is in the ongoing fight against COVID-19, and that’s why we’re committed to doing all that we can to keep our fitness centre open, and remain open.
As you know, the Government has announced a new COVID-19 Protection Framework which adopts a 'traffic-light' approach to managing COVID-19, and the use of vaccination certificates. Fitness facilities that do not request proof of vaccination have capacity restrictions at the ‘Green’ setting and have to be closed at the 'Orange' and 'Red' setting. We are currently in the "red" setting. So that we can legally stay open and operate optimally at orange and red levels of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, Fitzone NZ will be requiring staff, contractors, members, and guests over the age of 12 to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to entering our facility in the orange and red setting.
Whilst in green, we will continue to allow unvaccinated members, contractors, staff and guests in all of our Fitzone facilities.
This is already in effect. Your key tag will not work from 12.00am on the 3rd of December, until a staff member has sighted, scanned and recorded your vaccination pass.
Should you choose not to produce your vaccination certificate, access to our facility will not be available in orange or red. If you are undecided as to whether you wish to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or are not getting vaccinated, we can put your membership on hold for up to three months, so that if you do decide to be vaccinated or we move into green, you don’t lose your current membership rate. Alternatively, if you would rather cancel your membership because of your choice to not be vaccinated against COVID-19, we can arrange that. Please e-mail info@fitzonenz.com with your request and we will be in tocuh as soon as we can.
When you are next in the club, please show one our team your certificate and we will record that within your membership profile. Or you can also email it to us at info@fitzonenz.com
We do realise that the choice to get vaccinated or not is a personal one and we respect that. However, for us to do what we do best, we need to be open to serve as many people as possible, and vaccination certificates in orange and red are the key to achieve this.
There will be further details coming through from the Government and Exercise New Zealand, and we will do our best to keep you informed and up to date as soon as we know more.

Q: How do I get ‘My Vaccine Pass’?

Q: If I am still undecided on being vaccinated, what are my options?
A: We are offering to suspend memberships for up to 3 months with no extra cost.
Q: Will all your staff be vaccinated?
A: In orange and red yes, all our staff and contractors will be vaccinated.
Q: Do I have to show my vaccine certificate upon every visit?
A: No, if you choose to, we can record that we have verified your certificate, and we simply record the expiry date of your certificate in our records (we don’t store the actual certificate anywhere). Then your access will continue as usual including if you have 24/hr access. If you do not wish for us to record that your pass has been sited and the expiry date you will need to show your pass every time you visit, which will also mean that you will only be able to enter the facility during staffed hours.
